U46 School District in Elgin is the second largest school district in Illinois. GMCI™ provides many of their curriculum, graphic, web and print design and needs.
Design Features
We have designed the district’s annual report since 2006. Each year we come up with a theme and a style that follows the District’s strategic plan. We hand illustrate dozens of infographics for the 36-to-52-page book. We also print these books for the District. Over the years we have created many of the logos seen throughout the community including the logos for each of their 5 Magnet Academy high schools, the U-46 Foundation and the Alignment Collaborative programs. Several years ago, we were tasked with a 5-year plan to create all new curriculum guides for all K-12 subjects. This is a labor intensive but satisfying typesetting, design and print project, we have enjoyed the collaboration.
